In this workshop, Andy Shapiro will (1) introduce a basic, conceptual understanding of green building, (2) review energy and other green building options (3) present existing housing projects along the green continuum (4) review life-cycle cost analysis (5) discuss planning approaches for housing organizations to get greener.

The workshop will include a panel discussion on Green Building Barrriers/Strategies with Nancy Owens of Housing
Vermont, Karl Goetze of Efficiency Vermont and Bill Maclay of William Maclay Architects and Planners.
